Thanks to Padman!

Thanks to Padman!

Dear Padman,
Thanks for the valuable input! The D120 direct box you referenced --
is that a Behringer product, too? Separately, any hi-hat input? I'm
just trying to get as realistic sound and feel as I had from my
acoustic set --- which I know won't be exact -- but I'm obviously not
familiar enough with (1) the foot pedal adjustment -- which makes
little or no difference not matter how long or short the the "throw"
distance is adjusted to make contact and (2) the DTXpress module
settings, which have been confusing for me. I thought if I adjusted
the "sensitivity" settings, it would actually be more sensitive when
I pressed my foot forward on the pedal to "close the hat". So far,
the closing sound -- simulating the two hats coming together -
haven't been that clean and sharp, producing the schwoop sound that
is so common and desirable with a hi-hat. I hope I'm making sense
here. Anyway, thanks again for the Behringer amp endorsement - I've
recently got some birthday money and hope to make the purchase soon.
Thanks! --- Draker2003

Hi Draker,

I'm surprised that no one has jumped in and given you trial HH
settings. In the utility menu, try an offset of -32 or so and a T of
0-10. See if that gets you in the ballpark for shoops. By the way,
the HH will never react just like your acoustic (unless you get the
Visu-lite--sorry for yet another plug), but it should eventually
satisfy.
