Need help Midi problem..I think

Ok here is the thing , I've connected my dt express to my computer and apparently the data is going from the dt express to the computer . The computer is playing them back but no sounds comes out of the DT express. It used to work and I think I have touched something but don't remember what . Does anyone of you could tell me what to check in order for me to hear those sounds again cause I spent a few hours on it and couldn't get anything to work. I'm so frustrated . The computer shows that it is sending the message back but somehow it is not played by the tone generator ..... thank to anyone of you who could give me an answer Michael
