"It's good with Pintech meshes?"
**Yes, for sure. I've been using a combo of Visions
and CC pads and they work killer.

"Does it do positional with them?"
***Again, yes. They say that only the cast pads will
read position on the pads, but as Ddrum found out, in
the early stages of our disro deal with them, because
we use underside center position triggering they work
in the same manner as the cast pads. They track great
and are as close to acoustic as I've found.

"How does the Ddrum compare with the td-8 in terms of
cymbals (in particular the hi-hat)?"
**** The Cymbal sounds are very nice, since they use
real cymbal samples (I'm using a 22" K ride,17" & 18"
A crashes, and 14" New Beats on my mod). The other
neat side to the module is the ability to sample you
own cymbals and load them. I'm personally a real
cymbal fanatic....I love old K's and HH duo's...etc..
As for compare cymbal sounds in the modules, I think
the Ddrum sounds better than the best. Plus they offer
a very nice cross velocity fade on the ride (due to
the wide dynamic range), making it possible to play
the flat part of the ride, the bell, and a washed out
edge on a single zone cymbal. On the crashes, it's
cool to be able to ride a crash and have it sound like
an acoustic, plus it does very nice cymbal swells and
chokes, again on a single zone cymbal. The Hi
Hat......well it's an E hi hat. I don't think any of
them are wonderful, but it definitely sounds the most
like a acoustic HH (as it is a sample), but the open
to closed playing range does kind of suck.......It is
however as good as everyone else's...I just think they
all kind of suck on that point...........

Peace guys.........
P.S.
The info on Ddrum is not an endorsement for the
module, as we are the other distributor for them in
the US and have a very friendly relationship with
them. I'm just simply giving my opinion as a drummer
and an engineer who has spent an obscene amount of
money on modules. I owned mine before we were
distributors, as I also owned all of the others before
I worked for Pintech.
So no one cut me a deal on any of the gear to say the
wonderful things I did about it. Hearing it for the
first time on tape, sold me on it.
