Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Chris Willard, a member of the DTX group from the UK who is 
researching a possible upgrade to a mesh kit, is meeting with Colin 
Schofield of Koby in a couple of weeks. He wonders whether we have 
any questions that might help in his decision, as well as in our own 
quest for more information. We already have people planning to 
investigate the Koby option, but Chris' appointment might be a good 
entrance into it. I'd certainly like to know whether Koby products 
were created with any other electronics besides Alesis on the test 
bench; whether they claim any significant design innovations/ 
advantages or price breakthroughs; whether the mesh pads and the 
cymbals are dual-zone; whether the hi hat is completely variable when 
used with the DMPro or any other module that claims full CV; and 
whether their mesh heads are licensed from Roland. Can anyone else 
think of something that might be helpful to know that Koby's scant 
product literature doesn't cover?

The mesh snare is dual-zone, but the cymbals (last time I exchanged 
mail with Colin anyway) are not, they're mono.
