Roland PM-3 versus Yamaha MSDR50/100

HI all, just got a second hand PM-3 on Ebay. In the UK the PM-3 is around $850 I got mine for around $550 which I am pleased to say appears to be in mint condition for home and live monitoring. (and just in time for Saturdays gig which will be the first time i've used the DTX live). I was going to hang on until the Yamaha systems were out to compare, but couldn't wait. I am very impressed with the PM-3 from a sound, build quality point of view. I also really like the Stereo Line-outs that hook into the PA being independant from the PM-3 Amp , i.e. you can setup your PA and then adjust the monitor settings to your liking without changing the volume out to the PA. This isn't the case with other Amps I have used where if you crank up the volume the lineout cranks up too, so just thought I'd mention it here for when the Yamaha systems are freely available, as I think the Roland design has hit the mark. OK it's expensive, but I can't fault the quality. By the way, thanks for all the great info and high quality posts in this group. I've learnt loads! Ralph
