Peavey KB 100 Keyboard Amplifier

Peavey KB 100 Keyboard Amplifier

2003-11-03 by Michael Y.

Hello group,
I just got my hands on a very good condition Peavey KB 100 amp. It
seems to be allrite but I havent tested it yet since it is late in
the night. The only thing that i noticed is that the "PRE EQ patch"
input is missing. From the looks of it, it probably fell inside the
box. There is a similar picture of it here at the following link:

Mine is identical, its just that the center PRE EQ PATCH
input/output is missing. Is it a big deal? Will i need this
input? Can it be easily reparable?

Regards,
Mike

Michael,

Good condition? Are you sure? It's a big deal only if you paid money
for the amp expecting it to be fully intact. If you got it for free,
it's still probably a bargain; if you bought it because the seller
told you that it's in basic working order, and you didn't ask for
more detail, then who knows what your recourse is? Assuming that
everything else is in order, then the amp will work with the
DTXpress. What you won't get is the ability to send the signal out to
an effects unit before it comes back for EQ and amplification--a nice
option but not essential if you're on a budget, since the DTXpress
has its own reverb, decay, and other elementary processing. The
damage is certainly reparable, but a technician is going to charge
you whatever it takes to make the effort to fix it worthwhile. If the
seller was acting under false pretenses, he/she is liable for it--
unless you took the amp as is. Let us know whether the amp's basic
operation is okay.
