thanks Ed, seems to work on all the preset kits apart from the "rock 
kit" we are getting midi notes assigned to bass drum high AND bass 
drum low. Also snare high AND snare medium!! this results in a 
phased play back on those signals. we could delete these note in 
piano roll but that would be a pain!!do u have any ideas. sorry to 
be nuisance.


P.S we have downloaded a few user kit files and do not know how to 
import them in to the dtx2. my head is hurting!

I hope your head feels better. The only thing that occurs to me 
offhand about the doubled snare and bass drum is that in the rock kit 
both of them have two voices. If you have multiple voices attached to 
one drum or cymbal in a kit, you'll get more than you bargained for 
on playback.
