Hi Tom,
The new bow/edge/bell round cymbal should work on inputs 2, 6, and 7
of the II module. I'd be surprised if the new hi hat were not
compatible with Yamaha's old principles (which, in general, are the
same as everyone'else's except ddrum's, leaving aside the question of
polarity), especially since the STD version of the III seems largely
to resemble the II in all but a few changes to the module. We could
ask our correspondent in Japan, who has already provided one report.

My guess is that you're probably downloading your MIDI file
correctly, but that you're getting the memory full message because of
of a continuous loop between your source and the module. That is, the
same data keeps cycling through your MIDI in and out connections,
clogging up the DTXpress module's memory. Try either disconnecting
the module's MIDI out to your computer, or disabling MIDI merge in
the module's Utility menu (2-7).
