Problem with input 9/10

Problem with input 9/10

2003-12-15 by sirius9x

Hola,

I have my kickpad via stereo cable in input 9/10 and a mono cymbalpad
in the build in splitter at my kickpad (input on kickpad). The problem
is when I play cymbal and kick at the same time I only get the cymbal
sound. I don't know what to do, Rejection-things don't work.
Has anybody an idea?

Daniel

Daniel,

Things to try (these maybe things that you have already tried):
(By the way I am assuming you are using a KP65, PCY65 on a DTxpress II
module, is that correct??)

To rule out it being a cable problem:
1. Use a different stereo cable between the module 9/10 input jack and the
KP65 output jack. (Do not use a mono cable between module and KP65).
2. Use a different mono cable between the KP65 output jack and the mono pad.
(Do not use a stereo cable between the mono pad and the KP65)

3. Make sure Zone 9 is setup for a KP65 and that Zone 10 is setup for a
PCY65.
4. Since the two piezos are physically located far apart, make sure that the
specific reject setting is 0 between zones 9 and 10 and between 10 and 9.
You have to set it in two locations, on trigger input zone 9 and on trigger
input 10.
5. Try attaching a different mono pad to the input jack on the KP65. Make
sure you change the pad type in the trigger setup menu. (Any stereo pad will
work for this purpose as well.)

6. If you have access to a Y-Splitter cable (stereo to 2-mono left/right
jacks) try plugging in two mono pads, say two TP65 and setup the triggers.

Let us know how these work out.

Followup note: On item no 6 below, plug the Y-cable into Zone 9/10 by
itself, thus not using the KP65, just to see if there is a problem with zone
9/10 input.
