Just kind of a interesting note to the group. In my on
going attempts to take over the electroinc drumming
world and bring everyone together as a giant
colective, so that we in the industry can work
together to build the better drum module, we have
added a few new aliances to the Pintech family. We are
now distibutors for Yamaha, Ddrum, and Alesis drum
modules. The Ddrum deal we started last year and have
had a great time doing it, so we did some talking with
the other companies and they agreed. Rolands still
holding out, but we are not concerned. The companies
that have come on board are great, as are the people
with in them that we have to work with.

Also as some of you may know we have started using CBI
cables w/ Neutrik connectors on all of our hi end kits
and we are sending out pairs of Zildjian anti-vibes
with all of the kits sold by our independent dealers.

Just some cool news, I figured I would pass along. As
always, If I can be of any help give me a yell. As
some of you know, the easiest way to reach me is to
just call the office. The free # is on the web site.

I should be getting the first run of Yamaha mods soon.
The Alisis were in when I got back from NAMM.
We have ordered a TD20 and a TD3, just to do some
testing and playing. I'll send my reports on them as
soon as they get here. My inisial reaction to the 20
is .......well........ kind of bland. I think the new
pads should have been backwards compatible and I wish
they were going to put the updates on a TD card (as
they easily could have done), but thats not how you
sell a module to people who have already spent 1600 on
the old one and the upgrade........Sorry I've been
talking to alot of upset people this past week.
I'll talk to you all later. I'm off to do some
playing.
Later,

Brian,

First, congratulations. We have a lot of Pintech fans on this board,
as well as a lot of advocates for greater convergence. It's
particularly gratifying to see Pintech and Yamaha shake hands--two of
the most responsive, accessible e-drum entities in the business. The
deal can only promise good things to come for everyone. We look
forward to your comments about the new modules. But, Brian, people
are disgruntled with Roland after NAMM? I can't believe it. How could
it be?
