Multiple Rythms

2004-02-06 by psmperry@aol.com

Our band wants to play some Santana with only one drummer. I want to record a rhythm, say a Conga sound on tom3, Timbale on tom 2, and be able to play/stop the rhythm by striking the pad. Is it also possible to adjust the tempo of the recording in case my tempo is a little different between pads? I know it's had to believe that a drummers tempo may vary, I blame it on the beer.

Most MIDI sequencers offer a "quantize" function - a sort of "snap
to" feature that moves notes that are off the basic subdivision you
chose (say, 8ths) onto the nearest 8th. I'd be surprised if it was
not offered on the DTXpress, but I'm at work and can't check.
