It sure is interesting that the seller isn't one of the "masses" and that he prefers acoustic. Does somebody buy a relatively expensive, brand new E kit and presumably sell, or be willing to sell, his A kit because he thinks he likes the E better? On what shoddy basis could he have made that decision, if in fact only a few days later he longs for the A kit again. Even though I did just fall off the turnip truck, I know that this scenario is perfectly possible, but, as Stewart said, good grief. Ed

Well, you know, it does happen, even with more expensive systems. I can't tell you how many times I've had customers make me jump through hoops to get them a DDrum 4 SE or a V-Session, only to have them return it within the week, because it "doesn't feel like acoustics" - well, duh, you played the kit in the store and insisted you wanted it, didn't you notice then that it feels different? Still, those guys are better than the ones who insist they didn't open the box until a month after the return period expired, 3 months have passed since then, but they still want to return it. Ahhhhh, retail... ;-) Stuart McConaghy Canopus Drums Meinl Cymbals SilverFox Sticks On Thursday, March 18, 2004, at 08:26 AM, emf wrote: > --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, <nicholas.gunn@b...> wrote: > > I wonder why somebody would be selling this kit so soon after > getting it, > > makes me wonder ? > > It sure is interesting that the seller isn't one of the "masses" and > that he prefers acoustic. Ahhhhh, retail... > ;-) I love the human comedy (in which I have a leading role, by the way). This seller, who's trying to unload his E kit after a matter of days. also has to convince everyone that it's the best thing since sliced bread. This sales pitch could only be aimed at an impulse buyer who wasn't all that familiar with the DTXPIIISP, presumably like the seller himself, though the seller's own precedent undermines it (he's selling it, isn't he?). Anyone who was informed about the DTXPIIISP wouldn't need the superfluous, superficial build-up. So, in other words, the seller is targeting someone like himself who doesn't really want it. All right, I admit the sophistry, but in every sophistry, there's at least a smidgeon truth. However, I submit that he could cut the crap; no one needs the carnival barking. Ed
