Pad Sensitivity

Pad Sensitivity

2004-04-26 by supernovanexus

This has proabably been answered, but I can't find it. What function
allows us to increase or decrease pad sensitivity, per pad? I'm not
completely sure so if you could tell me it would help. Just seems I
sometimes get the snare to fire lightly when I play the Hi-hat pad,
or vice versa, and I'd like to decrease the pad sensitivity for those
two pads.

The trigger menu. There are 8 trigger setups to choose from, or press
shift and trigger to edit them to save your own to the 4 user
settings. Rather than reducing the sensitivty, you can specifically
increase the rejection of one pad to another. In other words, you can
make the snare less sensitive to the high hat without actually
reducing the snare sensitivity itself.

Hopefully someone with more experience will explain it in more detail
- I only got my kit a week ago. However, I have adjusted these
settings and it works very well, without reducing the sensitivity to
small hits.

Keith.

Oh ok. That's helpful, I'll look into it. If anyone can elaborate it
would be helpful, but thanx Keith. Maybe I'll find it in there
somewhere =).

Hmmm, I think I found it. Velocity Curve, Self-Rejection/Rejection,
and Specific Rejection.

A manual is a terrible thing to waste.

Well, I looked in the manual and wasn't sure which item it was, so
after reading a fooling around for about 20 minutes, I figured it out
and fixed the problem.

I have to say, the manuals aren't very good and the information is
randomly scattered between the two, but perseverence and trial and
error usually gets you there.

Keith.
