Bass pedal

Bass pedal

2004-05-24 by moogieman102

Is the bass pedal that comes with the dtxpress3 a good pedal? I am interested in spending
some cash for a double bass pedal, in the 200-300 range, what can you recommend me? I
would also like to be able to use this pedal for acoustic drums when I go for rehearsal time
in the city.

Any help would be appreciated, Im a beginner and am just starting to get a feel for the
equipment.

you rock.

Thx

James

James, first of all, a bass kick pedal does not come as part of the
standard package with the DTXPRESS III unless you buy, or bought, it
from someone who threw one in for good measure. If you haven't bought
one yet, www.musiciansbuy.com <http://www.muciciansbuy.com/> has one
for the standard $999.99 and they include a bass kick pedal and a set of
headphones for free. The bass kick pedal is a fairly descent kick pedal
which can be used for acoustic drum sets, as well, and the headphones
are also pretty good quality. There are very few places that include
either one of those items. If you are in the market for a double bass
kick pedal, however, the <http://www.zzounds.com/item--TAMHP200TW> Tama
HP200TW Standard Twin Double Bass Drum Pedal or especially the

Pedal (Iron Cobra) is one of the best, however, pretty pricey, even
though you did mention you were willing to spend 200-300 hundred dollars
for one. The Tama Iron Cobra usually goes for about $269.00 or so.
They will both work with either the Yamaha DTXPRESS III or any Acoustic
Drumset made.

I hope this information helped.

Thanks,
Glen
