volume of ride cymbals etc

volume of ride cymbals etc

2004-06-16 by drcheongth

Dear all,

I'm relatively new (This is my 2nd post) and has a query...but before
that, let me briefly introduce myself.. I'm from sunny Singapore and
in my 40's and just bought a IIISE about 2 weeks back because i wanted
to play drums!! always wanted but never got the opportunity to do as a
kid/teenager (music wasn't a priority with the parents then). Anyway,
it's been 2 weeks of fun.. but the software part is less so!

First query,, i find that the volume of the cymbals, hihat, floor tom
rather soft for the Acoustic kit so i pushed up the volume via the
Voice button and increasing the volume value, as well as the master
volume (i find that i have to turn up the volume button almost to the
end & I'm sure my hearing is fine!). I lose these settings once i try
out other drum kits .. do i need to save?? are there any other way of
pushing up the individual and overall volume? another thing, what is
live and practice mode and how will the volume changes as described in
the manual affect the various drum kits? (a bit apprehensive to fiddle
around too much and do the factory reset after reading about the
problems that may arise from resetting to default!)

Ok i've finished my essay for now! thks a lot

Yes you do, save it as one of the user kits (49 upwards). I have had
to do the same thing.

Going from memory, but the live mode just changes the function of two
of the volume controls for changing individual pad volumes more easily
. I don't think it will affect anything programmed.

Keith.
