Regarding Recent cymbal wedge question

Regarding Recent cymbal wedge question

I have had the same problem. Here's a test that may help us: For
anyone who has the DTXPRESSIII , go to the "2nd line" tune and trying
playing a crash and then playing a beat of your choice right after
that using at least the snare / kick and hi hat or ride. does the
cymbal "choke" early?. I am convinced its a software issue because
when i stop the song and play the same kit - there are no problems.
I've noticed this on other songs too.

Here's another wrinkle: If the dropouts happen only while you're
playing along with a tune, you may be exhausting the module's
polyphony--that is, the number of notes that it can play
simultaneously before one has to drop out. In the DTXP's case, the
total is 32. Add all the MIDI instruments/pads, decay, and layering
on the voices, and it's not inconceivable that you're running up
against a wall.

I have tried that on my III and notice premature choking, but it seems
to be at a spedcific part of the beat - I don't need to hit anything
else, just the cymbal at the right (wrong) time.

Keith.
