My friend Brian LaRue, who has run Pintech for some time, recently
left the company to accept an offer from Taye Drums in California and
work on recording projects. I'll certainly miss him at Pintech, but
the truth is that he'll become even more of a participant here
because, as he himself has written, he is a genuine Yamaha junky--so
much so that he just bought himself a new DTXpress and has designs on
the DTXtremeIIS. He will now be able to bring his extensive
experience to bear on a wider range of equipment and issues. Brian
and I will still be collaborating on the Yahoo Pintech/Visu-lite
forum (where OGD is also a moderator), but will also be expanding its
scope. Brian has friends at Yamaha, Roland, Ayotte, et al., and we
can only continue to benefit from his insights. Just don't call
Pintech looking for him.
