My DW800 > > -- > Louis Zirkel III (lzirkel@c...) > Century Development Solutions I can't tell you anything about it from my own experience but I will copy and paste some stuff from an ebay seller's description which tells quite a bit. I do know that they exist and I used to see them advertising the upgrade in Keyboard Magazine back in the 80's. The Angel City place was/is somewhere in Pennsylvania but I don't know whether they are still in business. I think I can find some of those old 80's mags around here somewhere....anyhow......here is some of what the seller has to say.............. **PLUS THIS UNIT HAS THE ANGEL CITY TURBO UPGRADE!** The Turbo upgrade gives you 11 NEW parameters to mold your sound! 32 NEW sounds! split points on the keyboard for Volume, Sounds, Midi channels, Layering! You can use one end of the keys for internal sounds and the other end to trigger an external module! How cool! I have spent soooo many hours playing with these new parameters! And easy too! THIS UNIT COMES WITH Korg DW8000-Manual (missing cover), the power cable, and a like NEW ROK SAK gig bag that I had bought for a Korg M1, also the PATCH sheet that I created on Microsoft EXELL to keep track of your patches. The internal battery is a continous recharger from the factory but the battery for the turbo upgrade is not, BUT it has a brand new battery in it I changed 2 months ago, I will leave the patches I created in the unit, I do not have the factory original back up tape , but you can get it off the net, but why?! This unit is too easy to program! NEW PARAMETERS 18 Sounds B (11-88) 27 Transpose A (0-12) 28 Detune A/B (0-6) 37 Split Point (0-63) 38 Volume A/B (1-7) 36 Turbo Mode (1-8) 1 normal mode 2 local off lower 3 local off upper 4 local off both 5 split A/B 6 split B/A 7 layer lower 8 layer upper MIDI GLOBAL 78 Midi Mode 1 all keys on #1 2 upper #1 lower #2 3 lower #1 upper #2 84 #1 Channel (1-16) 88 #2 Channel (1-16) 88 NOTE/ALL DATA ON#1 86 Omni off/on (0-1) Times are getting hard, so I am forced to sell off part of my collection. My loss is Your gain .......................................... Me here again...this unit was kind of overpriced and went with no bids but it gives a lot of details. Till later, Frank
