Yeah, I've seen the editor, and downloaded it, source code and all. I could never get it to work, and like the guy says on the page, getting it to compile with newer compiles just doesn't cut it... That's partly why I'd like to write a new one. The other reason is that I use Linux, not Windows. I'd like to have something that could work with some sort of "plug-in" system so that I could support other gear that I have, such as my 2 TX81Zs, TX7, DW6000, and Juno-106. It'd be really nice to be able to have a librarian to keep all those sounds organized. Then the last reason is just that it sounds like fun to write. I guess I'm kinda sick that way. :) Anyway, it all boils down to whether or not I end up getting the time to write it or not. Here's hoping. -- Louis Zirkel III (lzirkel@...)
