Hmmm...
not sure what's wrong -- as long as you have parameter 84 (MIDI channel) set to one, these files should load. I'll try them on my machine tonight, & get back to you tomorrow.
Meanwhile, does anybody else have a suggestion?

Yea everything is hooked up just fine. I am new to all this so bear with me and thanks for all the help. ok i am able to send the syx. file but i never see it load into my dw8ooo and i still have the same boring sound set that comes with midoox. ill attach the file i am trying to uplaod. Also isther a way to plat the existing sounds on my korg through my computer? I am gonna buy acid 3.0 and see if that helps me

OK, I'm at my office & don't have access to the synth, but here are some things I can tell you:
   1) Tape should NOT be enabled -- we're using MIDI here.

Next, we have to verify that your computer & MIDIOX are correctly configured & connected....

   2) Verify that your computer MIDI Out goes to the DW8000 MIDI In; and that the computer MIDI In connects to the DW8000 MIDI Out.
   3) In the MIDIOX program, go to the "OPTIONS - MIDI Devices" window, and make sure your computer's MIDI In & Out are selected.
   4) Verify that your computer & dw are communicating, by playing a few notes on your dw keyboard -- the MIDI monitor screen on your computer should show what you played. Now, go to the "Actions" window & select "Keyboard" -- this allows you to press keys on your computer keyboard and play notes on the dw.
--- if that works, then you are correctly connected & configured.

Now, go to "View SysEx", open the "Command" window, "Send" sysex file --
this works for me, and has worked for other folks as well.

If you're still having problems, let me know, & we'll explore it further.

If you have a sequencer program that handles sysex (Powertracks,
Cakewalk, etc), just load the files into the sequencer & send them to
   your DW8000.
Another way is to download MIDIOX, a free program from www.midiox.com-
-this is a first-rate MIDI toobox which includes a generic librarian
window which works just fine with the DW8000.
ANOTHER way is to go to
   http://www.tosbbs2.com/FileLibraries/Patches/Patches.html
and download the free DW8000 editor/librarian -- don't know if this
will work for the files you downloaded, but it's worth a try.
