Andre, The common advise on this, and I agree, is to always install the Epson cartridges in a brand new printer to test that it is functioning properly. Run a nozzle check, run an alignment check and align as necessary, make a few color prints and look at them closely. Make sure the printer is working properly. If you find something wrong at this point it should be easy to return it to who you bought it from or to return it to Epson. If you just install the CIS right away and have problems you won't know if it is the CIS or some problem with the printer and it may be more difficult to return.
