Martin and everybody... thanks again, nothing helped. I fear you are right, and its a printer problem. I got multiple advises by NoMoreCarts ( the service is absolut superior, never got this support before) - last advise was a factory reset procedure which failed to fix the problem. I give up and send the printer to Epson. Bernd
