Re:speaking of humidity/ink spots

2010-05-26 by faeofavalon

Hey Jeff -

Thanks for the input. The 8.5 x 11 sheets I was having problems with, I had cut from 13 x 19 sheets so I thought that might be the problem. I put a cleaning sheet in and ran it through a few times and now at least I can get prints. I was thinking the recent humidity was swelling the paper, making it too thick to load as well.

Incidentally, have you ever had ink spots along the edges of the paper? Once in awhile I get that only on thicker paper like the bamboo and the epson cold press.

The last box that I bought in late April had unusually severe curling along the 19" sides, and when I attempt to print on it, the printer heads smash into the edges of the paper and thrash about, tearing the paper and spewing ink.
