Digital BW, The Print

Hello, my first post.

I'm an amateur photographer, and for a few decades I processed my own B&W photos - Opemus enlarger and Pentax cameras.

A few yrs back I moved to smaller quarters and had to store my lab.

I've purchased a few digital cameras form simple PS to a Canon S5 IS and recently found out, through the article below, that I could print digital B&W:

My printer is an Epson Office T33, but trying a few SW options I've found out that a combination of GIMP and Gutenprint I could print quite acceptable photos.

I became so happy that I purchased a Nikon D90 to go back to my B&W days!

I would appreciate any clues that could help me to improve the print quality - even some other printer.

Note: I live in Brazil so I's not easy to get MIS inksets or some special papers.
