It has been discussed before in the Qimage forum but Mike didn't bring that feature. It could be that the nesting structure needs to be rewritten as the print page size is then no longer fixed. It would be a nice feature, many RIPs have it. If Qimage also got a hot folder system with the possibility to create different hot folders based on the job/session recalls then that print page fill feature would be even more helpful. Think about remote loading of files and printing. Prints ready when you get home from a shooting session. Not my kind of jobs though. I have not tried this out: if you make the print page very long and you shut Auto cutting off, compact nesting selected in Qimage, then it may be possible to move the paper backward on the printer's panel menu after the job and cut it then "manually" with the panel commando within the original print page length. Creating a new leading edge for the next job. The HP Z drivers allow that I think. Not the same of course as you can not repeat that job after job without manual corrections. -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Ernst Try: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wide_Inkjet_Printers/ | Dinkla Grafische Techniek | | www.pigment-print.com | | ( unvollendet ) |
