Re: Amazaing -- No clogging after 11 months in storage

2010-07-20 by Tom Garrett

Paul to confirm your observations; I have had several Epson printers and had some clogging problems with them
both with OEM inks and third party inks. Since replacing my 1800 with a 1900, which I use for color printing, I've had
no clogging problem. With it I use an Inkjetfly CISI. I also have a 1400 didicated to black and white and use Eboni-6 inks and have had no problem. Those two experiences suggest that Epson has done something to slow the clogging problem. I do believe that extreme low humitiy areas are more prone to clogging than higher humidity
areas. Since I live in the high and dry Texas Panhandle I run a humidifier if the humidity gets too low. As for 3rd party
inks it is my opinion (not worth a cup of coffe at McDonalds) that like other products there are some very high quality
ones and some really bad quality ones.
