Eboni or Carbon-6 on the best paper possible. The one likely to last the longest is Arches un-coated watercolor paper. However, it's dmax is acceptable, but not great. I think the Epson Hot Press Natural might be one I'd try. It does have an excellent dmax. Two caveats: First, the dilute Eboni inks need agitating. With teh 7500 the seals on the standard carts probably will leak if they are pulled out for agitation too much. So, you may want to use one of the funnel fill carts and "agitate" the ink with a syringe in the cart. Second, the 7500 does not print as smoothly on Arches watercolor paper as I'd like. You'll be able to see dots on close inspection. This is the main reason I moved to the 7800. > Could you please tell me more what you mean by C6 base?
