Phil,
The R280 uses Claria inks which is a dye based ink.. The transparency material Epson sells is for Pigment based inks.. So they are not supporting it with that printer. Just track down some transparency material that is for Dye based inks..( HP has some) and go for it ...you'll be just fine. I can't speak to how well it'll work for digital negs....you may need to make a profile for it but I'd think you'd be just fine..

Subject: [Digital BW] Epson R280 does not work with transparency
According to Epson, R280 does not work with inkjet transparency.
Does anyone has a workaround on this? I am producing digital negatives
using transparencies and this limitation is a little strange.
Thanks,
Phil
