Nothing has changed in terms of the testing protocols or the information one can find in the comprehensive AaI&A test reports. What has changed is that the sample test list now has database Excel-like search and sort capability, and I added columns that are more informative on OBAs, initial media whitepoint, etc. I removed the columns with delta E and I* data (but of course it's all still available in the reports) because this data was just for the current exposure status, so I eventually concluded that it was not so useful in the list and might actually be misconstrued if one didn't compare products at the same megalux hour interval. I also added batch information because this info will allow people to see what products are being tested side-by-side as a group on a single test unit, and it's also now easier to sort on any batch that has just been updated. Lastly, I've added an ID# (somewhat easier to track than the longer sample numbers if you are following a particular test) and because the ID # is eventually (hopefully this year) going to have functional capability like the test report column. It will be used to open dynamic graphing of the test results. That way, end-users will be able to instantly compare plots of the I* and delta E changes versus exposure without having to download or study the test reports. That's where the AaI&A digital print research program is headed.... along with many more new items to go into test. For more info on the new "look" and features of the AaI&A database, please read the "quick reference guide" and "explanation of terms" documents that I also added to the database list page (also on the AaI&A documents page). cheers, Mark http://www.aardenburg-imaging.com
