I don't agree about getting away from the LR look, or having a unique color scheme. I don't care if the web site shows web site design artistry - I want to look at the photos. This site works for me because it is all about the photos. Except, two comments. First, as someone else said, on the home page slide show I want to be able to pause to look longer at each image. And second, the About page font size is too small for my aging eyes.
