Randall, The site looks great.. as does your imagery. What I like the most about it is that the site does not overpower the images so over all I feel you have a good look.. Good Job! Their are many "done rights" in your site. I think you were looking for feed back in a constructive way so I'll toss in my nickel.. In no way are these intended any other then simply things for you to ponder as you move forward. Slide show on the first page. Their is a couple of schools of thought on this.. who is it for? for the first time visitor they miss the opportunity to select a category to view images in areas of their personal interest.. Return visitors typically won't use it as they are already familiar with your work.. What if that option were on your gallery page .. or if it the home page had only your new pieces? Just some things to kick around.. Here's a thought .. We all like to look at incredible images.. that is oh so true.. But their is a difference between looking and buying.. WHen buyers trade their hard earned dollars for an expensive print or original there is another factor thatc falls into play ..They believe in the artist and he's credible to them About and Purchase pages.. This is a tuff one so just let it in .. I have a service business and still shoot and sell my own prints.. so I'm sort of wearing two hats.. I still use a 4x5 and an 8x10 and have two drum scanners etc etc etc.. What these things are in the end are items of credibility that lead to your print prices.. SO the area of credibility I feel is not "bold enough" print is too small for most to read .. maybe a few more words.. Especially in the print area.. What I'm trying to so tactfully say is that 250.00 for an 8x12 ink jet print is a chunk of change .. not that it's a bad number it just needs credibility with it.. if that makes any sense.. Please understand I don't know you nor you me.. But given that I don't know you I found myself looking for areas of credibility to support the print price page.. Additionally more could be spoken about the print.. materials, the love etc etc.. Their was a post ..that alluded to the site doesn't matter it's all about the images.. To me that not correct.. it's about both.. No website can do justice to the imagery that I thing your printing. It's the words, descriptions and credibility areas that have the viewer dig deeper.. If your goal is to just share your images ..you did that.. If your vision is more.. .. well you know.. Anyway just ideas to ponder.. jimbo --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "lgrrrb@..." <lgrrrb@...> wrote: > > > Group Members, > > I have enjoyed this group for a long time and have learned a huge a lot. > > I have done black & white landscape photography for many years but have kept my photos mostly to myself. I continue to shoot only 4inch x 5inch film but have been scanning my negatives during the last few years and printing digitally (44inch wide HP Z3100). I believe that I have been getting wonderful quality in large prints. > > Well, I finally launched a website to "show off" some of my images.
