I made several comments. I don't have a clue which one you feel is
so speculative. If you are talking about the Sigma-Foveon camera
working with other brands of glass, do like I said and look at their
website. It's all their in plain english. At least for the time being, they
will ONLY take their own brand of lens.

If you are talking about my other comments, then yes, I wholly
agree they are pure conjecture. My WHOLE point was that there is
probably some reason why ONLY Sigma jumped on the Foveon
bandwagon. I still highly doubt Sigma was Foveon's first and only
choice in which company would BEST suit their marketing needs. I
mean after all, in the overall lens market they are Class B players, in
the camera market I don't know that I'd even consider them a Class
C organization.

However, that is just my opinion and $.02 worth... by this time next
year we all know for sure but I'm willing to bet you won't see a Nikon
or Canon lens on a Sigma body let alone a Canon lens on a Nikon
body without some weird 3rd party adapter.

BTW: I agree with your comments about closed systems. It certainly
turned out to be a very expensive decision for Apple Computer that
cost them market share they will NEVER regain..
