Digital BW, The Print

Right, Museo Silver Rag falls in the inkjet paper category that we might call inkjet emulating "traditional fiber base" photo papers. If you immerse an RC paper in water, remove and then blot off the excess water it is nearly dry because the polyethylene layers sandwiching the paper core prevent the water from being soaked up by the paper core. Ditto for Inkjet RC papers that are microporous not swellable polymer coated. But try this experiment with a paper such as Silver Rag and, like traditional Fiber base papers used in a traditional darkroom, you will have a limp "Rag doll" (no pun intended) after removing from the water. It will take much longer to dry because the paper core is now wet.
