I have yet to see an RC inkjet paper, gloss, satin, pearl, lustre, mat, that doesn't contain FBA in its base and coating. Could someone guide me to a satin quality without FBAs? -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Ernst Try: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wide_Inkjet_Printers/ | Dinkla Grafische Techniek | | www.pigment-print.com | | ( unvollendet ) |

If you have a 2200, you'll have to cut the paper down to fit. I've used a band saw, which works but not great. Clearly the best way is to use a mat knife and a good straight-edge. I only cut the paper as I need it. If I had a great deal of time, perhaps I'd cut the whole roll. But I don't know in advance what lengths I'd need. I'm not sure if this paper is marketed to Europe. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Talked with the man for Europe. But it falls outside the RC category I think. -- Met vriendelijke groeten, Ernst Try: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wide_Inkjet_Printers/ | Dinkla Grafische Techniek | | www.pigment-print.com | | ( unvollendet ) |

Right, Museo Silver Rag falls in the inkjet paper category that we might call inkjet emulating "traditional fiber base" photo papers. If you immerse an RC paper in water, remove and then blot off the excess water it is nearly dry because the polyethylene layers sandwiching the paper core prevent the water from being soaked up by the paper core. Ditto for Inkjet RC papers that are microporous not swellable polymer coated. But try this experiment with a paper such as Silver Rag and, like traditional Fiber base papers used in a traditional darkroom, you will have a limp "Rag doll" (no pun intended) after removing from the water. It will take much longer to dry because the paper core is now wet. cheers, Mark http://www.aardenburg-imaging.com --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Ernst Dinkla <edinkla@...> wrote:
