I tested for that in the 7800 by letting the printer sit for 5 weeks and then immediately printing a test strip after turning the printer on.  I graphed the Lab L of that QTR test print.  I've posted it at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Carb6-7800-5week-QTR.jpg

I think this is close enough.

I don't do power cleaning, and I have noticed not problems.

That's all I do.  The printer commonly sits for a month between printing sessions.  I simply agitate the carts, turn on the printer, do a nozzle check, and, aside from an occasional Eboni K gap that needs a clean or a Windex soak, I get on with printing.

I ignore a several day sit entirely.
