Digital BW, The Print

Hey all, 
new to the group and new to black and white printing digitally.

I bought a copy of Quadtone Rip 2.7, to try printing BO with claria inks first before trying MIS eboni6 inkset.
 But in Qtr, the printer is selected as Epson stylus photo 1400, and when the printing model is set at Quad1400-k6 or Quad1400, the black ink  option is grayed out as not available, if this is the case how do you print BO with the 1400? Are you just printing with a specific curve?  

My second question is in regards to using and installing eboni6 inkset when I buy it later. I have claria inks in my 1400 right now do I need to flush the print head before install the eboni6 inkset, or just install them?
