I usually use the Quad1400-MIS option.  There are black only profiles  in there, but maybe not for  Claria. (I'm using a laptop at the moment with an older version of QTR. So, I'm not  sure what is  in the latest download.)  If you use one of the PK black only profiles you'll get the basic look -- which might be a bit greenish if  it is  really only the black ink.

I made some Claria profiles for  the 260 that are at http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/260-Claria-QTR-Profiles.zip  If you are familiar with QTR you can transfer these to a 1400 profile.

As you'll see in those profiles, and as noted further in http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/BW-Dye.pdf and http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/N-BW-VT-1-220.pdf, the Claria ink needs some LM added to get it to a  neutral tone.

In connection with my current 1400 approach -- see http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Eboni-4-Plus.pdf -- I've made  some profiles that will print Claria inks  also, but they are not configured for the OEM setup.

It's always safest to flush a printer.  That said, I just install the inks.  I've run Eboni and Claria/Noritsu in the 1400 together for some time and see no evidence of incompatibility.
