Re: [Digital BW] mis ut7 on epson 2200

Make sure you removed the air plugs from the cartridges. If you look on top of
the cartridge there should be 2 plugs, a clear one on the back and a colored one
towards the top (the top being closer to the inside of the printer). Remove the
clear plugs as these allow air into the cartridge. The colored plugs are used
for refilling and should stay in at all times except when refilling.

After that, run a few cleaning cycles until you start to see ink. You could also
run a few test prints instead. The problem with new cartridges is they are not
primed. Therefore you have to priome them to get the ink flowing.

Stupid question but possible, you do have ink in the cartiridges, right?

Subject: [Digital BW] mis ut7 on epson 2200

I installed UT7 on my Epson 2200. It is supposed to work with the Epson driver
using Paul Roark workflow. The 2200 simply will not print - even maintanence,
nozzle check. I cannot find profiles on his web page. Must I use QTR or
alternative? If I install QTR driver, how do I get Epson driver back when I wish
to use full color Epson. I use Win XP SP 3, LR3, PS CS3. By the way, I
reinstalled the Epson cartridges and I print just fine - except for the
metamerism and a color cast (usually green sometimes magenta) in my B&W which
got me to order the UT7 in the first place. What to do?
