Unless your's is somehow different than the one in my camera case, 
I think you are mistaken. The D1X uses an F100 frame. NOT F5. I 
can sit both my F100 with optional battery pack side by side with my 
D1X and they look nearly identical. Better read the manual again 
Robert, you missed that part.
