I just tried again:
Rotating image in PS (from landscape to portrait).
Creating white canvas area around the image to the size of the cut paper - 17W x 26Hin.
Print>Page Setup - I increased margins to .5 in all around.
Looks OK in the Preview image window.
Set Center image>un-check scale, profile, rendering intent> hit Print.
Epson driver> set correct paper type etc.
I had to abort the print after about an inch (to save paper & ink)as it seemed the orientation was printing correctly but only about 6 instead of 15.75 in (40cm) W.
OMG I am so frustrated & Epson help is closed until Monday.
