Hi, I recently bought the Spyder3 Studio calibration kit - mainly because of the extended greys target that is a colour management option. I've just done my first proofs - with ABW, QTR and Extended Greys (ie - the Epson colour driver) - the Extended Greys result is fantastic - it's definitely the easiest way to get a dead neutral print from OEM inks. The only drawback is the use of more colour inks with this workflow - I'll do a fade test from the three workflows to see how much colour shifts are an issue. I've read that the colour driver has less dmax than the ABW driver, but any impact on dmax wasn't obvious in my proofs - it was overshadowed by the excellent neutrality. Just thought I'd share this, Richard _________________ Richard Smallfield Photography: http://richardsmallfield.com EV+1 Blog: http://evplus1.blogspot.com/ Developing Tank Blog: http://developingtank.blogspot.com/ YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/RichardSmallfield
