I do quite a lot of cartridge swapping, but it's a hassle, wastes ink, and fills the bottom of the printer with that waste ink.  (I may be on my second reset for that problem on the 1400.  I'm waiting for ink to start pouring out the sides.)

Compatibility wise, there is no problem among the inks being discussed here.  As far as I know the only compatibility issue with Eboni-6 (not Eboni and not Carbon-6 [generic base mix]) is between Eboni-6 dilute inks and UltraChrome inks.
