Assuming you took the air inlet tabs off, I'd guess some air got into the outlets, perhaps because the ink was too viscous to flow right. So, you might want to use a bottom fill adapter and syringe to prime the carts. Take the reservoir fill plug out and pull some ink through the outlet.
