UT3d in Epson R-285 (European) PKN

2012-01-26 by luxlebis

Hello,
I went into B&W printing with an Epson R-285 (r-280 in the US I think) and the ultratone 3d. I bought the ink and cartridges here in Germany and could get 3 free icc profiles for my main papers. Everything works fine and the prints (especially the matte ones on tecco paper) are wonderful. But with glossy prints (less on semigloss) especially on harman gloss baryta, the pure black ink (100% on a printed grey-step) looks not good. Its hard to see in normal prints, if there are no bigger black areas, but if it looks kind of shiny (dont know if that is called bronzing). I think the profiles are good.I read Paul prints glossy and matte with MK in the printer. I read quite a bit about that, but had no luck with doing an own Profile, because I have no idea how to et the black with the dark grey inks. I tried the start glossy file but didnt got anything usable. Has anybody done profiles for UT3d glossy prints with Eboni-MK installed for r-280 or r-380 from which I can at least start to own experiments?
