I suppose the same sort of approach would work for the other Claria printers. Whether the curves or layer I used would be close enough to work without adjustment is unknown. I so still have the underlying curves if they are not already posted. Today most of the profiling systems have strip readers so that making a profile using them is not so burdensome. As such, I'm quite sure that would be the preferable way to go. My experiment with just neutralizing the grayscale with curves worked OK for casual printing, but the higher gamut colors were not very accurate. My approach was influenced mostly by my desire to have a good neutral zone in the prints, the lack of a strip reader, and the poor quality of the color profile I'd made using manual reading and a 250 patch target.
