I have not kept current with film technology. Is there still a color negative based B&W film out there? I used medium format Kodak T400CN when I needed speed and found it to give a better image than Tri-X of Tmax 400. The silver grain films had a sharper edge, but the lower grain of the dye based color negative technology tipped the scales in that direction for me. So, it was usually Tech Pan or T400CN for my MF film cameras. (I still have lots of frozen 120 Tech Pan that will be sold some time soon. It and my Nikon 8000 appear to have actually appreciated in price.) Paul www.PaulRoark.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
