Peter,

No wear marks on mine yet. The occurrence of clogs does seem to be
increasing with time. I may decide to change out the cartridge end of the
CIS and see if that helps.

Mine droops too but it clears the small piece of black tubing by 1/16". If
it broke you would get some ink spillage into the printer but probably not a
huge amount since the system would loose vacuum and might just start sucking
air in. Probably would run out once the printing stopped.

If you do cut it off, please post how it went and what you use.
