Okay, here's my take. Epson 1280 which will get you up to 13x19 or 13" rolls - $500 CIS - $250 to $300 Ink and workflow choices: MIS VM inks - $52 Paul Roark's curves - Free or MIS FS inks - $52 Piezo driver - $335 (You buy the software for the 1160 which includes software for all the Epson's Piezo supports and comes with a set of cartridges of Piezo ink you toss. They don't sell the software alone but I think $335 is not a bad price.) Both workflow will make excellent prints. You may find the learning curve will be easier with the Piezo driver.
