Tom, I have had the NoMoreCarts (same as Niagara and Conetech) CIS on my 1280 for 6 months and all that is required is to answer the Epson driver's question to whether you really want to use none Epson cartridges with a "Yes" each time before you make your first print after turning the printer on. Not a big deal at all and the cartridges always reads full. Running Windows 2000 BTW.
