Digital BW, The Print

I have v6.0 on the cartridges that don't work in the 1430 and I've spoken with another person using v6.0 in a 1430 successfully. I'm not sure what the v6.0 means or if it is a factor. 

I purchased my cartridges in 2010 and 2011. The 1430 came out about a year ago and that is when the change occurred. If you purchased your carts within the last year I would expect them to have the new chips. It's possible that my most recently purchased cartridges would work in the 1430, but I've only been trying the ones filled with color ink and they are the oldest ones. 

I'll test using a mix of Epson and MIS cartridges and let you know how it goes. Before I do, if anyone has real information on why this should not be done (MIS says not to do it), please speak up!
